Relaxed in FLA
When I was in 1st grade, I had my first panic attack and have had horrible anxiety ever since.
Depression, attention deficit and insomnia seemed to come along for the ride.  At times my
panic attacks got so unbearable that I refused to go to school as a child, and as an adult, I
remember nights sitting in front of the ER at the local hospital in fear of losing it.  All the
medications prescribed, from anti-depressants to anti-anxiety drugs like Xanax, either gave
me side affects that were just as bad as the anxiety or were extremely addictive.  I remember
reading an article in a magazine about anxiety and some of the studies said that anxiety gets
better as you age, so I probably was one of the only people who could not wait to get old.

I had first heard about Neurofeedback when I went to see Dr. Pollock for my anxiety and
insomnia problems.  Sleep, being important to people without anxiety problems, it’s even
more important to get a good night’s sleep if you have anxiety, since a poor night’s sleep
seems to exacerbate the problem.  When I started the Neurofeedback treatments, I was very
skeptical, but kept an open mind. I noticed a difference after several treatments.  The
Neurofeedback actually helped my sleep pattern and was reducing my anxiety – and I was
feeling more relaxed.

As an added bonus, I noticed a more focused feeling in my thoughts. I’m an avid baseball fan
and play in a competitive men’s league.  As I was progressing through my Neurofeedback
treatments, not only was my anxiety diminishing, but I was more focused during my games.  I
started hitting the ball much better than I had before and could not believe the concentration
that the Neurofeedback treatments were giving me for sports.  I’m a firm believer in this
treatment and recommend it to anyone who wants help with anxiety, attention deficit, or
insomnia.  But for those who want to improve your athletic performance, it’s a winner too!
